Hello, I’m Claudine Elsousou a food blogger, media creator, and the heart behind Mama Pita. My journey began in the fast-paced culinary world of Chicago, where I founded Fig Lab Media to tell stories through food and film. Today, I’ve brought those stories to the Southwest Michigan Sunset Coast, trading the city skyline for the rolling dunes of St. Joseph.
As a Palestinian-American baker, my mission is to share the authentic, soulful flavors of the Levant with the Michigan community. Every tray of handcrafted maamoul and every herb-dusted manakish is a tribute to my heritage, made with the traditional aromas of orange blossom, anise, and mahlab.
Now offering specialty catering in St. Joseph and Berrien County, I specialize in bringing a sophisticated, authentic touch to local weddings, corporate events, and private gatherings. Whether I’m developing a new recipe for the blog or catering a lakeside celebration, I’m dedicated to building community through the timeless hospitality of Palestinian cuisine.
